Mamata Banerjee gets her wax figure

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's life-like figure has found a place in a wax museum here which was inaugurated two days ago. Banerjee's wax figure is seen in a sitting posture at of her office table with a mobile phone in one hand and a pen in another. She has a smiling expression.

Other figures at the Mother's Wax Museum in New Town include icons like Rabindranath Tagore, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Swami Vivekananda, Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan and cricket legends Saurav Ganguly and Kapil Dev. Statues of a total 19 celebrities have found place in the museum developed by West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO). Banerjee is the lone politician so far.

The wax figures have been sculpted by Susanta Roy, a veteran wax sculptor based in Burdwan town. The museum was inaugurated during the inaugural ceremony of Kolkata International Film Festival two days ago by Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan.
