Make In India twitter handle on Tuesday came for much ridicule after mistakenly posting that excise duty on small cars and two-wheelers have been cut. It later corrected this error.
This is what Make in India tweeted..
Excise duty has been reduced for small cars & two-wheelers (12% > 8%), large cars (27% > 24%) & mid-segment cars (24% > 20%) #MakeInIndia

The tweet attracted a lot of attention as the extended concession ended on December 31, 2014 when NDA government decided not to extend it.
On Tuesday morning the handle had posted it was listing a few incentives that will catalyse India's automobile manufacturing process.

The mistake was corrected after almost five hours later.
