A major fire broke in a slum in Rafik Nagar, Govandi in Mumbai on Friday night.

A major fire broke in a slum in Rafik Nagar, Govandi on Friday night. The fire broke at 8.20pm in a scrap shop and soon spread to adjoining huts. Around 20 fire tenders and more than 10 water tankers were sent on the spot. No injury was reported till late on Friday night. Police officers from Shivaji Nagar Mankurd police station also rushed to the scene of the fire to maintain law and order. Fire dousing operations were underway till late on Friday night.
