A major fire broke out in a chemical manufacturing factory in the Phase II region of Vatva industrial estate today, police said.
However, there were no casualties or injuries due to the incident, they said.
According to fire brigade officials, the fire in the Bright Associates chemical factory seemed to be caused primarily due to short circuit.
Over 30 fire tenders from across the city were rushed to the factory to control the fire, they said.
After nearly five hours of struggle, the fire was doused, fire officials said, adding that nobody was injured in the incident.
A case of accident has been registered and further investigation into the cause of fire was on, police said.
