Maharashtra: Two more arrested in HSC question paper leak

The accused will be produced before the court today.

Vashi police on Monday arrested two more persons in connection with the HSC question paper leak, including a teacher of a private tuition classes.

The accused are resident of Kandivali East and were arrested at around 3.39 am in Mumbai. On Sunday night, police had arrested two students from Malvani in Malad.

The two arrested have been identified as Mohammad Aman Mohammad Islam Shaikh (19) a HSC external student and Suresh Vimalchand Jha (26) a teacher at private tuition classes.

A total four persons have been arrested in HSC paper case so far. Two students who were arrested on Sunday night have been identified as Rahul Bachelal Bhaskar (22) and Azaruddin Kamaruddin Shaikh (20). They both are resident of Malvani in Malad. Police said that they are student of second and third year B.Com.

The accused were arrested under section 5 and 6 of the 'Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University and Board' and other specified examination Act 1982 and section 66(A) (a) of IT Act.

They will be presented before court today for police remand, said an official from Vashi police station.

On March 2, Marathi question paper was leaked on social media, while images of two more question papers were circulated on the same WhatsApp group on Saturday.
