Maharashtra HSC results 2015: Monica More, who lost her arms in rail accident, scores 63%

Monica More (17) scores a commendable 63% score in her HSC exams. Over a year after her railway accident, she lost both her arms, Monica, a commerce student, appeared for the exams with assistance from a writer.

Busy attending calls from her well wishers monica informed Iamin "I am very happy and thankful to Aishwarya, a class XI student, who wrote all the exams for me," said monica More.

Aishwarya wrote exams sitting under the shadow of trees at her exam centre Saraswati Vidyamandir in Ghatkopar.

Ashok More, Monica's father expressed his happiness. "Monica has made us proud and we will fulfill all our dreams she wants to desire. Although she has got used to the myoelectric arms, she is able to write as well but, a writer was needed because the speed at which she could have attempted the paper she would not have been able to complete it," he informed.

When asked Monica about her further education plans she informed, "I am going to pursue my degree in B.Com and then further decide how to go about my ambitions."

Monica's mother, Kavita, who accompanied her daughter to the exam centre said,  "monica used to feel like writing the papers on her own while she used to narrate the answers to Aishwarya.".
