Maharashtra: Farmers flush out litres of milk on Pune-Bangalore road in protest

The 10-day farmers’ strike in Maharashtra took an ugly turn on day one after several thousand litres of milk was spilt near Khed-Shivapur toll plaza on Pune-Bangalore Highway on Friday morning. The strike will intensify over the next few days as farmers will not send their produce for sale. Pune, Sangli, Kolhapur, Nashik, Jalgaon, Parbhani, Latur are going to be the most affected districts. Rashtriya Kisaan Mahasangh has appealed to farmers to not to destroy produce.
