Maharashtra: 24-year-old youth arrested by ATS fom Parbhani; one kg of explosives recovered

The Maharashtra ATS on Sunday arrested a 24-year-old youth from Parbhani and recovered one kg of explosives from him.

"A 24-year-old youth Shahid Khan from Parbhani district, one kg of explosives and other instruments recovered," reported ANI.

The arrest comes just two weeks after ATS officials arrested a Parbhani resident for allegedly being in touch with Islamic State (IS) members over social media.

On Friday, a man allegedly involved in recruiting youths for ISIS was arrested from Thane in a joint operation by Kerala Police and the Maharashtra ATS as part of the probe in the southern state where several youths are suspected to have joined the terror outfit and headed to destinations abroad after being radicalised.

At least 21 youths from Kerala are missing and are suspected to have joined ISIS.
