Madhya Pradesh: Bhopal hostel owner rapes, blackmails minor girl

A minor student who had come to Bhopal to prepare for IIT entrance exams was allegedly repeatedly raped and then blackmailed by the hostel owner.

The incident occured when the girl moved to Bhopal in May 2014. Around this time the hostel owner Narendra Rajwanshi alias Gagan allegedly drugged her and then raped her, according to the Govindpura SSP. After the incident, the he blackmailed the girl saying he'll release the video of rape and then repeatedly raped her.

The girl moved to Kota, Rajasthan, the hostel owner followed her there and demanded Rs 50,000 from her.

The girl, then informed her parents about it and a case was registered at Govindpura police station in Bhopal.

The hostel has been closed for four months and Rajwanshi is on the run with the police out on a chase. Police are further investigating the case.
