Explosive materials, at least eight pistols and several other articles were recovered on Wednesday morning after the security forces gunned down a terrorist in an operation that lasted for nearly 10 hours in the thickly-populated Thakurganj area of Lucknow. 

"The slain terror suspect belongs to the Khurasan module of the ISIS and was an active member. But, whether he has been indoctrinated or not is a matter of investigation," said the IG ATS Aseem Arun.

Anti-terror operations were carried out to get hold of terrorists, suspected to be linked with the Bhopal-Ujjain train blast near Jabdi station in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday in which at least 10 people were injured, three of them seriously .

Speaking to the media, Arun said, "Explosive materials, 8 pistols, 650 rounds of ammo, 50 fired rounds, gold, cash, passports & SIM cards were recovered."

He also said that they anti-terrorist squad was looking for two more persons.
