Louis Berger case: Goa crime branch questions former CM Digambar Kamat

Former Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat is being questioned by the state's crime branch in connection with the U.S. firm Louis Berger bribery case. Meanwhile, former Louis Berger vice-president Satyakam Mohanty has been arrested after being questioned by the Goa crime branch in connection with this case.

Former Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat is being questioned by the state's crime branch in connection with the U.S. firm Louis Berger bribery case. Meanwhile, former Louis Berger vice-president Satyakam Mohanty has been arrested after being questioned by the Goa crime branch in connection with this case.

Mohanty's arrest comes after Anand Wachasunder, a senior official who headed the controversial JICA water project in Goa, was held by the crime branch. The New Jersey-based firm was charged with paying around USD one million in bribes to win major projects in Goa and Guwahati.
