Lord Balaji’s Tirumala set to turn Smart City too

The centre has identified Tirupati as one of the Smart Cities for its project. Now, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is keen on turning Tirumala too into a smart City.

While ticket bookings are already available online, TTD is looking to use new technology to manage the ticket and accommodation online bookings. Tata Consultancy Services has been roped in to study this. Microsoft has also put together a proposal for an advanced solution, states a report in The Hindu Businessline.

In order to make Tirumala self-sufficient tin green energy, the TTD is also looking at Build-Operate-Transfer model for the same. They have drawn up a water conservation project as well.
