Twitter was full of praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the latter delivered his speech in the Lok Sabha hitting out at Opposition parties led by the Congress.
A speech that went on for an hour saw the PM blaming the Opposition, especially the Congress for its myopic view on various issues.
Speaking of the Non-Performing Asset (NPA), Prime Minister Modi stated that it was time for the country to know that the Congress party was hundred percent behind the scam.
'It is time that people of the country know that NPA was your curse. The country should know that this was a business by you (Congress) and you are hundred percent responsible for it,' Prime Minister Modi noted.
As the Opposition leaders raised slogans like 'dhokebazi band karo,' PM Modi said, 'the more mud you throw at us, the more the Lotus will bloom. I will not stop you, keep doing that!'
He seems to have forgotten that he is the prime minister not an opposition leader, Congress President Rahul Gandhi told reporters after Modi's reply in the Lok Sabha to the motion of thanks on the president's address.
"Questions are being asked by the country from the prime minister, but he is not answering... here (in Parliament) you have to give answers and not ask questions to the country instead," he said.
UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi slammed PM Modi's speech in Parliament asserting that the PM has said "nothing new".
"People of India want to know what the PM will do about jobs," she said while taking a dig at the PM Modi.
People on Twitter were full of praise for the PM, saying that it was one of the best speeches they had head.

The governments of West Bengal, Karnataka, Odisha and Kerala where BJP or NDA is not in power have claimed with data that they have given 1 crore jobs in the last 3-4 years. Will you dispute their claims too?: PM Narendra Modi #ModiHitsBack

Doordarshan has a ticker that says "Nehru" and not "Nehru ji". Imagine the pain Ram Guha is going through right now. I hope to read seven op-eds by him soon attacking Modi's speech in parliament.

What an amazing speech by PM Sh. @narendramodi ji in Parliament today! At his combative best, Modi ji brilliantly highlighted adversities our country faced during previous regimes. Under his visionary leadership, we see a shining, progressive and fast developing country.

PM Modi's speech in Rajya Sabha dripping with sarcasm, says we(NDA) quite understand that it is difficult to accept that 'people like us' are sitting here. Also said when opposition criticises BJP,/Modi it is their right, but don't substitute Bhajpa with Bharat, don't demean India.

The way @INCIndia behaved in the #LokSabha today was beyond shameful. It is not an insult of @narendramodi, the person, Congress has insulted the position of the PM and the people's mandate that made Modi the PM. #shame

Thank u for behaving like roadsiders while the PM speaks, @INCIndia. No citizen will ever take you clowns seriously, and that is your own doing. Modi is God’s chosen child to have an utterly incompetent opposition like u.

Modi seems to be making an election speech in parliament. I guess, he is hoping to convince those 40 Congress MPs also to vote for him in 2019. https://t.co/0eeMTDmPLf
