Looking at the chaotic scene prevailing in the Lok Sabha after the Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs protest, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today urged parties and their leaders to stop their 'embarrassing' behavior. Several TMC MPs protested in the House over their alleged scuffle with BJP leaders on Tuesday afternoon. They shouted slogans and held up placards condemning the BJP and the functioning of the House.

"I am warning you not to carry placards. Go back to your seats. Do not force me to be tough. You can raise whatever issue you want during the debate on the Rail Budget," warned Mahajan. However, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee accused the speaker of being partial, and said, "You are not the Speaker of the BJP, you are not the Speaker of Narendra Modi."

The Speaker later reminded the MPs that the whole country was watching their behavior and appealed to them behave properly in the house. "I appeal to all parties to ask their MPs to behave in the House," said Mahajan. Amidst the chaos, Mahajan later adjourned the House till noon. Similar scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha.
