BJP has won both the seats for which bypolls were held in Goa. Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has won Panaji bypoll with a margin of 4,803 votes. He has defeated Congress' Girish Chodankar to win the sixth term as MLA. "I will resign from Rajya Sabha next week," Parrikar said after winning Panaji the bypoll. BJP's Vishwajit Rane has won Valpoi seat.
AAP candidate Ram Chander has won Bawana seat after defeating BJP's Ved Prakash by 24052 votes in Delhi.
In Delhi, Bawana bypoll had become a matter of prestige for the ruling AAP, the BJP, and the Congress.This April, BJP won Delhi's Rajouri Garden bypoll and AAP candidate lost the deposit. Now, AAP is trying is making all effort to show that they still hold the pulse of Delhi, while Congress is making all effort to show that the party is still a serious player in the capital.
TDP has bagged Nandyal Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh. Winning this seat had become a prestige issue for TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and YSRC head Jagan Mohan Reddy.
