Congress VP on Thursday speaking in tribal dominated Valsad severely attacked BJP's economic record in Gujarat and the country. He also pitted the entire Gujarat contest as a pitch battle between truth and fabrication. He said, " In Gujarat, the battle is between truth and fabrication. Around six crore people feel something, and those who run Gujarat and their businessmen friend think something else. For 22 years, people listened to them and gave your land, electricity. You were promised education, health, jobs." However nothing happened in reality, according to Congress VP.

Rahul Gandhi said that people gave BJP government resources, but didn't get anything in return. Pitting it as a war of ethics like Mahabharata, he refers to the incident when Krishna tried to broker peace between Kauravas and Pandavas but failed as Dhuryadhan spurned the offer. According to Rahul Gandhi, similarly like Kauravas, PM Modi has army, police, central government and power in states like MP, Goa, Chhattisgarh etc, whereas he has only the power of truth. Rahul said that power is shared by all common people of Gujarat.

Rahul Gandhi accused the Gujarat government of only being friendly towards select businessmen ignoring plight of the poor people. According to Rahul Gandhi, adivasis, Patidars and virtually every segment of the society have been deprived by the government.

Rahul Gandhi also tried to puncture holes in PM Modi's ambitious 'Make in India' program, and said how Chinese companies are gaining in behest of Indians. He said that job generation has dipped to an alarming low owing to Make in India. He said not even 1 lakh people get job every year in India. Congress VP also accused the BJP government of land grab without using a large part of it for any industry.

Congress VP said that BJP tried to tinker with the land acquisition act but couldn't manage it owing to their opposition. Rahul Gandhi said that PM speaks about many things but is silent about Gabbar Singh Tax (GST).
