This is said to be the largest ever youth outreach programme ever done by any political party via video conference. The campaign, designed around the slogan 'Lakshya humara, Modi dobara' (Our aim, Modi again), will add muscle to BJP's plan to ensure a victory in 2019 general elections.

Two-way interactions were held across 20 locations, which includes strategically significant locations such as Leh in Jammu & Kashmir, Wagah in Punjab, Kutch in Gujarat, Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, Darjeeling in West Bengal, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu and Bastar in Chhattisgarh. In all these locations, youth volunteers posed questions to the BJYM national president.

Launching the campaign, Mahajan explained why the youth of the country should help bringing back a 'Modi government 2.0'. She discussed policy initiatives brought in by the Modi government, particularly Digital India, Skill India, Startup India, Stand-up India.

The Vijay Lakshya 2019 campaign will mobilise youth, first-time voters and millennial voters on a large scale to vote for the Modi government. Apart from the Vijay Lakshya campaign, Mahajan also launched 16 other different programmes aimed at connecting with the youth and first-time voters.

Commending the BJYM for the campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the BJP is fully committed to fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of India's youth. Modi tweeted, “I commend the energetic BJYM team for their Vijay Laksh 2019 movement that will mobilise Yuva Shakti from all over India on a large scale for a strong mandate for the BJP. Our Party is fully committed to fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of our talented youngsters.”

For the 2019 elections, the BJP is targeting the youth, first-time voters and millennial voters. According to estimates, there are over 15 crore first-time voters in this general election.
