Kiran Bedi's husband, Brij Bedi, passes away

Former IPS Officer Kiran Bedi's husband Brij Bedi died at a hospital in Gurgaon on Sunday.

Brij Bedi had been hospitalised to Medanta- The Medicity hospital on January 28 following kidney problems. He was moved to the ICU as his condition deteriorated. He breathed his last on Sunday at 11 am.

Kiran Bedi took to Twitter to announce the demise of her husband.

City of Amritsar lost a man who loved his city the most. One who gave all his life to the cause of the needy. We will carry fwd his service

Kiran and Brij Bedi married each other in March 1972 and have a daughter together.

Brij Bedi was a photographer and social activist. Kiran Bedi, India's first woman IPS officer, was BJP's chief ministerial face last year for Delhi Assembly Elections.
