Bharatiya Janata Party's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi and former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Kiran Bedi on Wednesday met tea and newspaper sellers in her constituency, Krishna Nagar and enquired about the kind of issues they were facing.

"Everyday I will go to people and ask them about the problems that they are facing and will try and resolve them. I am not doing this for media attention. I never asked anyone from the media to come here," said Bedi. She further stopped a biker who wasn't wearing a helmet and asked him to obey traffic rules.

Bedi is scheduled to file her nomination from Krishna Nagar on Wednesday. The scrutiny of nominations will take place tomorrow, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations is January 24. Polling will take place on February 7 and the counting of votes will be taken up on February 10.

Apart from Bedi, several senior leaders will be filing their nomination papers today, including Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Congress campaign chief Ajay Maken. While going to file her nomination, Bedi will lead a road show through East Delhi, including the Krishna Nagar constituency, which is a BJP stronghold. Kejriwal will file his nominations from the New Delhi assembly constituency today after he failed to meet the deadline for filing the nominations on Tuesday due to his road show.
