Kerala: RSS worker critically injured after attack by unidentified men

In another case of violence, a RSS worker was critically injured in Kannur district of Kerala. He was attacked by unidentified men on Tuesday evening. The worker, identified as Praveen has been rushed to the hospital and is currently in a critical condition. 

The attack took place in Kathiroor in Kannur district. According to reports, Praveen was travelling by motorcycle, when he was attacked. He has suffered head injury, and also wounds on his left hand and right eye. He is currently undergoing treatment in Kozhikode medical college hospital. 

Kannur has been the hotbed of political clashes in the state, which has seen frequent altercations between the ruling CPI(M) cadres and RSS workers. Leaders of both BJP and Left have expressed concerns in the past but the cycle of violent clashes have continued unabated.
