Kerala: Man kills wife in broad daylight on Kottayam street

A family fight led to George (63) assaulting and murdering his wife Lucy (54) in broad daylight on the streets of Kottayam.

A report in Malayala Manorama states that Lucy was murdered in the corridor of the building which houses Kerala Gramin Bank.

The report adds that Lucy was staying separately with her son and that George used to beat her because he was suspicious about her. Lucy had come to the bank for some financial transactions when George  reportedly came towards her and stabbed her with a knife.

She sustained injuries on the throat and chest and subsequently died, adds the report. People from nearby shops managed to catch hold of George and handed him to the police.
