A 15-year-old girl who jumped from the third floor of her school building in Kollam district of Kerala, succumbed to her injuries on Monday.

According to reports, the Class 10 student Gauri took an extreme step on Friday after she was allegedly harassed by her teachers.

The girl had been on ventilator support at Thiruvananthapuram Ananthapuri hospital and her condition had become critical.

Gauri was a student at Trinity Lyceum school at Thanagassery in Kollam, and was allegedly chided by her teachers after she had a fight with her sister’s classmate, reported TheNewsMinute.

She had reportedly objected to a punishment given to her sister.

The report said that some of the teachers had taken disciplinary action against Gaur's sister after she spoke during class and she was made to sit with boys as she repeated the mistake.

A case was charged against two teachers at the school.  The investigation is on.
