Karti Chidambaram gets bail after 11 days in Tihar for graft

After staying 11 days in Tihar jail and 12 days in CBI custody, Karti Chidambaram got relief on Friday after the Delhi High Court granted him bail in the INX Media bribery case.

Justice SP Garg said that there seems to be no possibility of Karti fleeing from justice as he has a family to take care of, has roots in the society and is not a previous convict.

The court, however, said that he should be available whenever he is summoned or asked to join the probe.

The court further said that there was incriminating evidence of nexus that sought to push foreign investment to INX Media but not sufficient to deny him bail.
