Karnataka has been the hotbed of divisive politics for quite a few days now. While the Speaker of Karnataka Assembly is under immense pressure of scripting the state's future, some Congress and JD(S) leaders from the southern state are taking immense joy in being 'holed' up in Mumbai.

Staying in a hotel for a week now, these rebel politicians decided to go out on a tour of the city on Friday. Their journey started off with offering prayers before Lord Ganesha at the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Prabhadevi.

Five MLAs from Karnataka who have resigned and stationed in a 5-star hotel in Mumbai, then came for lunch at a south Indian restrobar called Dakshin Culture Curry. They just barged in without reservations and ordered around. On the other hand, their security guards sat in the adjacent Goa Portuguesa restaurant but ordered food from another restaurant named Diva Maharashtracha. All three restaurants are owned by Dr Suhas Awchat. According to Awchat, these leaders and their security guards savoured a grand feast of vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian dishes.

"Dishes like Spiced rubbed Rawas, Andhra chicken, Tender Coconut Cashew Sukke bhaji, Veg Kozumbo, Rawas Goan curry, Brown Rice and Solkadi were laid on the table for these MLAs. Looking at this grand feast, it was difficult to imagine the dire state of their home-state," said Awchat.

After a royal and rejoicing day off in Mumbai, these rebel MLAs may go to Shirdi on Saturday, a source revealed.
