On the last day of campaign of Karnataka Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invoked BR Ambedkar and attacked Congress party while appealing to SC/ST/OBC and Slum Morcha Karyakartas.

Highlight various schemes undertaken by his government, Modi said that Morchas play a vital role in bringing new generation in our fold

Attacking the Congress party PM Modi said that the Congress party has no place for Dalits and backwards. "Congress never respected Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Until the Congress party was in power, Baba Saheb was not given Bharat Ratna.Congress wants the votes of OBC community but they did not allow OBC Commission to get Constitutional Status."

Stating that the BJP has the most number of MPs in parliament that belong to SC/ST, OBC and minority, Modi said, "I appreciate your work you do for the party. Morchas play a vital role in bringing new generation in our fold. I appeal you to visit homes of SC/ST, OBC and minorities and assure them that BJP will work for their welfare."

Urging workers to work tirelessly for the welfare of deprived and women, Modi added, "Taking inspiration from all the great saints, today we are trying to fulfill Baba Saheb's dream of powerful and prosperous nation."

He also said that the government has made SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act more stringent and  increased the offences listed in the Act from 22 to 47.

The high-voltage campaigning for the crucial Karnataka Assembly polls will come to an end on Thursday at 5 pm.

The political parties, eyeing to sweep the polls, will hold multiple rallies in their last attempt to woo the voter in their favour.

BJP chief Amit Shah and the party chief ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa will participate in the roadshow in Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah's Badami constituency.

Apart from this Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will campaign for their party on the final day.

The election in Karnataka will be held on May 12 in 223 constituencies, out of 224 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly while the counting of votes and announcement of result will take place on May 15.
