Kamlesh Tiwari Murder case: Maharashtra ATS has detained a person from Nagpur in relation to the killing of Hindu Samaj Party leader's, who succumbed to injuries after he was attacked in his office in Lucknow on Friday.

Tiwari's murder case is being already probed by UP police and Gujarat ATS.

Now, the Maharashtra ATS has detained an individual who is being interrogated in Kamlesh Tiwari killing case.

According to sources, Rashid — one of the three-person who has been detained by Gujarat ATS and confessed to the crime — called this individual man sitting in Nagpur after Tiwari was murdered to share details with him.

As per the initial investigation, probing agencies are suspecting that Rasheed is the mastermind of the crime.

He used to work in a Dubai company that is owned by a Pakistan national.

Meanwhile, Gujarat ATS is now investigating Pakistani link to the murder case. 

On Saturday, in a presser, UP DGP said, "Prima facie this was a radical killing, these people were radicalized by the speech that he (Kamlesh Tiwari) gave in 2015, but much more can come out when we catch hold of the remaining criminals."

"All the security arrangements were made, he (Kamlesh Tiwari) was given a gunner and a policeman, both were there with him. There was no laxity on the part of the police administration,” he added.

On Sunday (today) morning, the family members of Kamlesh Tiwari left for Lucknow to meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Tiwari's family had said that they will not perform Kamlesh's final rites till Chief Minister Adityanath meets them.
