Although the Supreme Court has banned triple talaq (triple divorce), cases of people resorting to this practice keep coming. In a similar case, a man divorced his wife in Rajasthan's Jodhpur by uttering 'talaq' thrice on the phone. The couple has two children.
The victim said that on September 18, her husband divorced her over the phone and after two days he married someone else.
The woman, Afsana had been married to Munna for the last eight years in Jodhpur, but soon after her marriage, she was harassed for dowry by her in-laws.
