J&K: Road mishap in Raesi; 22 killed, 30 injured

Vehicle travelling along the Raesi district of Jammu and Kashmir, skidded off the road and rolled into a deep gorge . The bus turned turtle and fell into a deep gorge resulting in the death of 22 passengers, Tahir Sajad Bhat, SSP Reasi said. "15 persons have been killed and 30 others injured when a bus carrying 45 passengers that was on its way to Buckle from Reasi met with an accident near Reasi here today," Bhat told PTI.

"The people who were seriously injured are being airlifted to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment," he said.

Police said some of the injured persons are in a critical conditions. "The rescue operation is going on and a police team and the district administration is on the spot," he said.

Ajay Nanda, J&K Minister informed ANI that the death toll had risen to 22 and injured persons were being shifted in ambulances.
