An Infiltration bid has been foiled by Army in Sawjian sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir along the LoC. One jawan injured in the incident. More details are awaited.

Meanwhile, a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri using small arms and automatics began from 1240 hrs. Indian troops are responding to the attack.

One BSF jawan was injured on Friday after the Pakistani troops violated ceasefire at Bobiya post in Hiranagar sector of jammu and Kashmir. The Indian troops also retaliated to the firing killing one Pakistani ranger 

Pakistani troops had heavily shelled areas along the LoC in Rajouri district overnight on Monday, prompting Indian troops to give a befitting reply.

At least 32 ceasefire violations have occurred on the Line of Control since the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes in PoK. In a first, India carried out surgical strikes on seven terror launch pads across the LoC with the Army inflicting "significant casualties" on terrorists preparing to infiltrate from PoK, days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned that the Uri attack perpetrators would not go unpunished.
