Vohra was among the dignitaries on the dais when Modi dedicated the 330 MW Kishanganga power project to the nation.
As the chief minister was about to finish addressing them, she realised her mistake and apologised to the Governor.
"I am sorry I forgot to mention the name of Governor sahib. I hope he will excuse me," an embarrassed Mehbooba said before continuing with her speech.
The prime minister was in Srinagar during his day-long visit to the state, covering the three regions Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
He reached out to Kashmiri youth and urged them to shun the path of violence and return to regular life so that they could be partners in the development of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.
“Mehbooba Mufti led government in state and NDA government at the centre are continuously trying to bring those youth, who under the influence of foreign propaganda assault their own sacred land, to the mainstream. Peace and prosperity has no alternative. Those youth, who are misguided, should return to their families,” the PM said.
PM Modi was addressing the gathering after laying foundation stone for the Srinagar Ring Road and dedicating 330 Mega Watt Kishanganga hydel power project to nation at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre.
“Every stone and every weapon taken up by misguided youth is destabilising their own J&K. We need to take J&K from the atmosphere of instability for future generations. Not only should they connect with Kashmir but they need to connect with the development of the country’s mainstream”, he said.
