A Primary school teacher was beheaded with a sharp weapon allegedly by a mentally challenged man in Jharkhand.

The crime took place in Seraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand, reported Hindustan Times.

A report said that the accused Hari Hembrom pulled out school teacher Sukru Hessa out of her classroom, and then took her to his home where he beheaded her.

After committing the crime, Hembrom escaped towards the forest, however, he was arrested with a weapon.

Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Avinash Kumar told the daily that the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained and the accused seems to be mentally challenged. 

The school cook said that they were helpless as the accused had a sharp weapon.
