The government appealed to the people to complete their documents within three months. Maharashtra has already said that will not implement until Nitin Gadkari replies on their queries. Gujarat and Uttarakhand implemented it with lowering the fines.

However in Bihar, the government implemented the new M V Act strictly, but now it has been given relaxation in checking. Now the police will stop any vehicle when it violates the traffic

Bihar Transport secretary said, there is very less chance to any change in the new act, however he said, it will consider the issue. Uttar Pradesh government has also implemented the new act strictly, but will be stopped only when violation of any traffic rules are reduced.

Women bike rally without Helmet

On Saturday in Chhattarpur, MP, women was seen rallying on bike without wearing helmets. Since Madhya Pradesh was yet to implement the new motor vehicle act, they challenged the new act by protesting on streets without wearing helmets.

Jamnagar bike protest

In Jamnagar, since the Regional Traffic Office (RTO) had implemented new MV Act, people were seen protesting by performing last rites. People placed posters on a bike which read in the time of new fines our bike has committed suicide and so we are perforiming the last rites.

Meanwhile, Olympian Yogeshwar Dutt from Gohana, Sonipat district, Haryana took the initiative of making people aware with new traffic rules by going a step ahead and distributing roses.

Patna's Principal Secretary of the Transport Department Sanjay Agarwal said that the percentage of helmet wearers in the capital Patna has doubled, which was 35 per cent earlier, now it has reached 70 per cent. He said that road accidents have come down since the new Act came into force. In the past, there were 20 cases of death in road accidents, now their number is around 10.
