Suspended BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Ram Jethmalani announced his support to MDMK leader Vaiko's struggle for justice for Sri Lankan Tamils.

Suspended BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Ram Jethmalani on Saturday announced his support to MDMK leader Vaiko's struggle for justice for Sri Lankan Tamils.

"Watching visuals of the horrendous atrocities and genocide committed by successive Lankan governments over the decades is heart-wrenching. These atrocities are a blot on humanity," Jethmalani said.

He was speaking at a function here this evening to release the book and DVD titled 'Genocide of Eelam Tamils - Hearts Bleed', organised by the Mumbai Tamils Protection Committee.

The injustice perpetrated by the Lankan government against Tamils still continues and it tramples upon human rights, Jethmalani said.

The UN and other global organisations need to look at the issue, he added.

Dwelling on the atrocities committed by the Lankan government against Tamils, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) chief Vaiko said he would carry on his struggle till his last breath.

Senior journalists Mahesh Mhatre and Brijmohan Pandey were presented a copy of the DVD and the book on the occasion.
