A total of 254 students from the Forum for Indian Institute of Technology and Joint Entrance Examination (FIITJEE), Mumbai qualified for the JEE Main exams — the results of which were declared on Thursday. Six students from the institute scored above 300 of the total 360 marks.

Anshul Tomar, Shreyas Kowshik, Rahul Bharadwaj, Anugole Sai Gaurav, Shubham Jain and Anwesh Mohanty scored above 300. “The students were provided with systematic coaching. They had finished their portion in May 2016 itself. They were only practicing test papers for the past one year,” said Mohit Sardana, Director and Head, FIITJEE, Mumbai centre.

Sardana said the overall scores of students this year were affected due to the tough Mathematics paper. “Despite students scoring well in Physics and Chemistry, their overall scores dipped due to Maths,” he said.
