Japanese girl rape: Rajasthan Police announces Rs 1 lakh reward for information

The Rajasthan police on Wednesday announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to the arrest of the main accused in the rape case of a 20-year-old Japanese girl. DGP Omendra Bharadwaj announced the cash reward.

The Rajasthan police on Wednesday announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to the arrest of the main accused in the rape case of a 20-year-old Japanese girl. DGP Omendra Bharadwaj announced the cash reward.

The police have so far arrested seven persons in connection with the case but the main accused Ajit Singh alias Jeetram Chaudhary is still absconding.

The 20-year old Japanese girl, who came to visit the city, was allegedly raped by Singh on Sunday in Dudu town's Mouzmabad area, 60 kms from Jaipur.

Singh introduced himself to the girl as a tourist guide and took her to a deserted place and raped her there. The girl later reached Dudu police station and lodged the FIR, police said.
