Police have registered a case and arrested three people including a minor boy in Udhampur. Massive hunt has been launched to nab another two accused, one of them is said to be a security force jawan. Police is also trying to trace out the girl who was stripped naked by the goons.

Shock, anger and disbelief has gripped the militancy-plagued Jammu and Kashmir after a gang of people allegedly stripped a woman and circulated the video of the incident on the internet including WhatsApp in Jaganoo area of the Udhampur district.

Police have registered a case and arrested three people including a minor boy in Udhampur. Massive hunt has been launched to nab another two accused, one of them is said to be a security force jawan. Police is also trying to trace out the girl who was stripped naked by the goons.

The atrocious video has gone viral with hapless girl seen pleading to the goons to return her clothes. The goons armed with sticks are throwing abuses and invectives on her male companion who is also seen sitting besides her on a rock near a water body.

Sources said the group of people intercepted the girl and her male companion and started misbehaving with her. When they resisted, the goons caught hold of her and stripped her naked and filmed the whole sequence. Later they uploaded the video on the social networking sites and circulated it on the WhatsApp.

"The video surfaced last night. We got the input that the incident has happened in Udhampur. Police started the investigation and it was confirmed that it in fact has happened in Udhampur. We swung into action and traced out the people. Three people, who were in the video, have been arrested. One of the accused is a minor", Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary, district collector of Udhampur, told dna.

Chaudhary said they are yet to receive a formal complaint from anyone about this incident. "We are trying to locate the woman and try to find out what exactly had happened. We are on the job and we hope to locate the woman by this evening", he said.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi range, Surinder Kumar Gupta said they are investigating the matter and it is too early to say anything. "We are just trying to confirm and we will be sharing everything with you (once the investigation is completed)", he said.
