Jammu and Kashmir: Two militants killed, one arrested in Kulgam encounter

Two militants were killed and one was arrested in an encounter with the security forces in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.  

Security forces on Sunday launched a cordon and search operation following inputs about the presence of militants in Khudwani area of Kulgam district. 

Police also recovered a weapon from apprehended militant.

During the operation, the Hizbul militants opened fire at the security forces which lead to a gunfight. 

Both the militants--Ahmed Ali, Shaiyar Ahmed Wani-- who got killed in the gunfire were residents of Kulgam.
