Jammu and Kashmir: Four terrorists killed by security forces in Budgam

Four terrorists were killed by Jammu and Kashmir's security forces in an encounter at Budgam's Fultipora village on Thursday. Following specific tip-offs that the terrorists were hiding in a house, the security forces carried out a joint search operation involving Jammu and Kashmir police, Army and the CRPF. The militants opened fire at the security forces, who retaliated and led to a fierce gun battle.

 

 

Police sources said one security force personnel sustained injuries during the operation while two civilians got injured in security forces action against protestors who were trying to disrupt the anti-militancy operation.

 

In another encounter at Bomai in Sopore area of Baramulla district, security forces shot dead a Pakistani terrorist, a police official said.

Meanwhile, in another encounter, security forces have gunned down one militant in Bomai in Sopore area of Baramulla district. However, the operation is still underway.

Around 200 militants have been killed so far this year in Jammu and Kashmir.
