Jammu and Kashmir: Attack on National Conference leader in Pulwama, one cop killed

Gunmen attacked a National Conference leader on Wednesday leading to the death of one policeman.  

The National Conference District president Mohi-u-din Mir was injured after gunmen opened fire at him, reports greaterkashmir.com. A policeman too was injured but succumbed to his wounds later.

A Personal Security Officer (PSO) was too injured in the attack which took place in the Manghama village in Pulwama district.

On Monday, militants carried out two strikes within as many hours in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, killing three policemen, including an officer, and decamping with service rifle of one of the slain cops.
