A day after the rumors of Jamia Millia Islamia’s entrance paper for BA surfaced, the Varsity on Monday said it will again conduct the exam and will announce the dates shortly.

The Jamia administration received complaints regarding the leak of BA (Honors) Turkish language and literature entrance exam paper that was held on May 9.

“The decision was taken following the reports of paper being leak. We will conduct the exam again for which the dates will be announced shortly,” said a senior Varsity official. The officials said that the paper was reportedly leaked on Facebook.

“The Varsity officials held a meeting today (Monday) to look into the matter,” the official added.

The course offers 30 seats for which 150 applicants had appeared for it. “The Varsity had out sourced the examination papers to a private agency. The spat of paper leaks also raises doubts if the outsourcing caused that lapse,” he added.  Last year, the Varsity’s Btech and BBS entrance exam were also leaked following which it had rescheduled the test. “The paper leak has become a frequent phenomenon now. The Varsity is planning to set up an inquiry committee,” said the official.
