Jammu and Kashmir police have busted a major Jaish-e-Mohommad recruitment module and arrested six terrorists from Burhan Wani's hometown Tral in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

Awantipora police along with 42 Rashtriya Riffles and CRPF, in a joint operation, busted a JeM network recruiting youth for terror operations.

The arrested terrorists have been identified as Ghulam Nabi Shah, Ishfaq Sameer Sheikh, Irfan Ahmad Mir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, and Junaid Rashid Bhat. They were involved in providing logistic support and facilitating the movement of terrorists in Tral area.

Police said incriminating materials have been recovered from their possession. "A case under section 18, 18B, 20, 39 ULA (P) Act was registered at Tral Police Station. Further investigation is underway," said a police spokesman.

The arrests came three days after security forces killed three Al Qaeda-linked and Zakir Musa-led Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind terrorists at Balhama in the outskirts of Srinagar.
