Assembly election results will be just a click away when counting of votes is conducted on Sunday.
In order to provide election results quickly and with authenticity, the Election Department has decided to upload the results of 199 constituencies on its official website, www.ceorajasthan.nic.in.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ashok Jain said 37 counting centres set up state-wide to count votes polled in 199 constituencies last Sunday. The counting will commence from 8am and result of each round will be uploaded on the website regularly. Explaining further process of accessing results on website the CEO added that link on website would display districts names comprising seats.
By clicking here the number of votes polled to each candidate would be available including the winner. Other information like rejected votes and postal ballots would also be available.
The results on Sunday will decide the fate of 2,096 candidates, including 166 female candidates and one transgender, who contested election from 199 constituencies state-wide. Besides, the Election Commission has adjourned the election to December 13 in Churu constituency after sudden death of BSP candidate Jagdish Meghwal.
Notably, a whopping of 75.20% voter turnout was recorded in 199 constituencies with 3,04,80,193 out of 4,05,33,566 total voters casting votes. It is a record hike with 9% against 66.39% voting registered in 2008 elections. To conduct 2013 Assembly election smoothly the EC had set up 47,223 polling stations through 53,045 EVMs state-wide. Around 10,812 polling stations were declared as sensitive in eastern Rajasthan.
