Jaipur: 16 school girls, three teachers from Delhi hurt as bus rams into truck

Sixteen school girls and three teachers, all from Delhi, were injured when a bus carrying them rammed into a stationary truck on Delhi-Jaipur highway on Sunday, police said. The accident happened in Aantela village near Shahpura, SHO (Shahpura police station) Hameer Hasan told PTI by telephone.

He said the bus, belonging to a secondary school in the national capital, was carrying 40 girl students and four teachers. Seven of the injured, three of them teachers, were referred to Jaipur's SMS Hospital while the remaining were rushed to nearby hospitals, the SHO said.

The bus was on way to Jaipur when it met with the road accident on the national highway number 8, he said. The bus driver fled from the scene, the SHO said.
