Several ABVP supporters were allegedly beaten up by members of the Jadavpur University students union and were admitted to the KPC Medical College and Hospital on Friday late evening.
The two groups, Jadavpur University students and members of Think India, who had organised the screening of Vivek Agnihotri's Buddha In A Traffic Jam at the university, clashed with ABVP supporters during the screening.
While the Jadavpur University students union members claim that several outsiders who were accompanying the filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri allegedly molested two students of the university, ABVP supporters claimed that they were beaten up by university students.
The students who were allegedly molested are yet to file a complaint with the police.
Earlier in the day, the filmmaker was gheraoed by the students. As soon as Agnihotri reached the campus, he was shown black flags and placards by the students of Jadavpur University urging him to go back. Several RSS supporters had accompanied him to the university.
