Six members of Hindu Dharma Sena who were arrested for allegedly attacking a Jabalpur church were let off on bail an hour their arrest, NDTV reports. Among the six included the chief of the group.

Members of 'Hindu Dharma Sena' on Friday night allegedly vandalised a Jabalpur church where a Bible convention was being held with 200 tribals in attendance.

According to the report, church members have alleged that the Hindu group created a ruckus and then broke flower pots. The HIndu group however had maintained that they did not vandalise the premise. They have said that they reached the venue since the church was conducting religious conversion of the tribals.

The Christian community had threatened to close missionary schools and colleges across Jabalpur if police fails to take action.

Though the community denied that the congregation was meant to convert the attendees, a few tribals claimed that they went to the convention to get converted, the report adds.
