In February last year, a teacher at a reputed coaching centre, who earlier worked with the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) in Afghanistan along with the US Army, was caught by Delhi Police for his suspicious links with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Exactly a year ago, an official from the Indian Air Force was honey-trapped through a fake Facebook account to which he divulged information related to the Tactical and Combat Deployment Establishment. In December 2015, a soldier was detained by the Army on suspicion of spying for Pakistan and was arrested in Darjeeling.

DNA had recently reported that Indian agencies have alerted the defence establishments in the country stating the ISI is spotting talents amongst the defence personnel from Army, Navy and Air Force who are pursuing courses in National Defence College (NDC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The alert stated that they are trying to lure potential Indian officers to work for them and for that are using their "young female recruits based in Bangladesh."

Sources in the agencies also alerted that ISI has directed its young female recruits to not shy away from getting married with the Indian defence force cadets pursuing courses at the NDC.

It was less than six months ago when Delhi Police arrested a suspected ISI agent for blackmailing a lady colonel to divulge secret information. Identified as Mohammad Parvez, the suspect had sent morphed, obscene images of the female officer to her daughter and was threatening to share it on internet if she refused to provide him classified information. He was arrested from north Delhi's Chandi Mahal area and was found to have been in touch with a Pakistan-based ISI agent.

Indian defence establishments have informed its men to be cautious about establishing relation with women, as they may be undercover ISI agents.

Earlier, intelligence agencies had issued an alert across the army establishments and security forces that the ISI posing as senior officers from the Armed forces and Ministry of Home Affairs are calling lower staff and trying to extract sensitive information.
