Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on wondered whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi was "conspiring" with police to "attack" Arvind Kejriwal claiming Delhi Police did not act despite being alerted of a possible attack on the chief minister. However, Delhi Police said adequate security arrangements were made to escort the Delhi chief minister at the railway station and claimed its security wing was not intimated about the possibility of such incident by Kejriwal's office.

In the morning, Kejriwal was heckled by BJP activists at New Delhi Railway Station from where he was scheduled to board an Amritsar-bound train. He also faced protests by Akali Dal and Congress as he reached Punjab where Aam Aadmi Party is gearing up for assembly elections to be held next year.

"Is Modi ji conspiring with the Delhi Police and the BJP to attack Arvind Kejriwal? Was the morning episode (manhandling of the CM) a rehearsal to it," Sisodia said in a series of his tweets. He claimed the episode was pre-planned.

The activists led by Delhi BJP Mahila Morcha president Kamaljeet Sehrawat raised slogans against and waved bangles towards Kejriwal, who arrived at platform number 1 of New Delhi Railway Station to board the train for Punjab at around 7 am on Thursday.

Sisodia said, "What was the reason behind such incident despite Chief Minister Office (CMO) and Chief Secretary alerting senior officers of Delhi Police from last evening (about possibility of such incident)?" He also tweeted, "In the presence of Delhi Police personnel, CM was heckled and they were just a" mute spectator" which clearly indicates that the all episode was pre-planned. News Channel cameramen were informed about it in advance."

A government spokesperson said it is "deliberate breach of security", wondering how BJP's people reached near the chief minister.

"Today the entire carcade had gone to drop him (Kejriwal) at the station. The district police as well as officials from the Delhi Police's security wing were also present to escort him. There was adequate security with the presence of our officials as well as district police being present at the railway station. Our people took him away from the protestors and helped him board the train," said a senior Delhi Police officer.

The officer also said PSOs accompanied him during the train journey as per the security norms. "After handing him over to Punjab Police, they will return to Delhi. Since there were women protesters in the morning at the Delhi Railway station, we had requested the Punjab Police to deploy adequate women cops since there could be women protesters at the Ludhiana station. The security wing wasn't intimated about the protests by the CM office," said a senior Delhi Police official said.
