PM Narendra Modi did not receive the Canadian PM like he has done for other world leaders. The change got social media talking.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau is a man who vastly divides opinion. His swooning fans across the globe swear by his drop-dead gorgeous looks and can’t get over the fact that he is unabashedly liberal and feminist. Add to that the fact that he is a colourful sock-wearing, panda-hugging former snowboard instructor who boxes and gave Donald Trump a lesson in shaking hands and one can understand his appeal in certain quarters. In fact, he's so enmeshed in the global pop culture that some actually thought he was the one who was dumped by Jennifer Anniston!
Others point out that Trudeau represents much of what’s wrong with democracy which gives to superficial characteristics, accuse him of virtue-signalling, like the term he asked a woman to use the term ‘peoplekind’ instead of mankind and begs journos to ask him about quantum computing.
So understandably people were looking forward to his visit.
Commentators on Twitter pointed out that Trudeau was greeted by Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at New Delhi airport instead of PM Modi. UP CM Yogi Adityanath also didn’t meet him during his visit to Agra.
Time and again, Trudeau – who bragged about having more Sikhs in his cabinet than PM Modi – has been seen as soft on Khalistani sympathisers, with the Sikh members of his cabinet also been accused of the same.
While the Print reported that Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh will receive Trudeau, his request to the MEA for a separate one-on-one meeting with Justin Trudeau to discuss the separatist Khalistani movement in Canada has still not been confirmed.
Reports in Canadian media have said that Trudeau won’t meet Amarinder Singh, and we will have to wait until February 21 to see how that works out.
Several commentators on Twitter felt that the reception for Justin Trudeau from the Indian side has been lukewarm so far.
Here’s how Twitter is reacting to Trudeau’s visit:
So Canadian President, Trudeau is here, courting the Union of India, while back home in Canada, his govt is said to be courting Khalistanis that want to break it up, so much so that PM Modi had to bring it up at Davos!

Sharing a thread tweeted some months ago, in this context
Truly appreciate @narendramodi govt's stand on @JustinTrudeau. He has been made to feel the results of his courting Khalistani leaders back in Canada at every step of his India tour. Takes a spine to do that!!

Proud of BJP Govts to backing @capt_amarinder Singh. Compare response of UPA when Modi was denied visa by US. https://t.co/Tz8bciFj0z

Yup - every one of his Sikh ministers has A Khalistan link, he’s been to Khalistan events & events where Bhindranwale was venerated & the India-Canada Intelligence sharing architecture is now in shambles cuz #KhalistaniTurdEww ‘s cabinet has all the targets of interest https://t.co/ycfd56q95n

Trudeau support for terrorist fundamentalists Khalistans a very sore point with us; Canada has not suffered from Khalistani terrorists as India has yet Trudeau supports them: for all his loud talk about human rights T supports K, USIS, jihadi terrorists https://t.co/QSkdtZnqKi

Of Trudeau's 7 day visit to India, just half a day is for bilateral discussions. Rest are Canadians tax payers paid Trudeau vote pandering visits across India. I get more time with Indian govt when I go to India :) https://t.co/vOde6kxyDl

I am thankful to @capt_amarinder for making clear to @JustinTrudeau that he can keep his Pakistan Islamist backed Khalistanis in Canada; we Sikhs in India have no patience for them or for him.https://t.co/T5HH7Crc42

Can't remember the last time India dished out such a cold reception to a foreign leader as #JustinTrudeau is being givenTrudeau for all his charm&youth appeal, has drasticaly diminished Canada's global stature by consistently appeasing radicals of minorities, antagonizing allies!

Regardless of the views of our misguided Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the people of Canada support a united India.
We oppose and condemn KhalistanI radicals and Islamist terrorists.
Love,
Trudeau is off to India dragging most of the cabinet with a India background and the wife and kids to brush up on his dance moves at our expense. We can look forward to more song and dance moves in the House of Commons on his return.

We cannot let him get away with such nonsense. https://t.co/AYFZVfyHVK
Canada has become hub of Anti-India activities, Why Canada sheltering Khalistani groups & ISI lobbies? Why Canadian PM attending Khalistan events against India? Welcome to our Nation, Mr. Justin Trudeau. But Most Indians have no respect for you. You're a blot on India's Security.
