Indore: Yashodhara wants to hold trade fair and conventions

State industry minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia has convinced key representatives of some of the country’s top industrial bodies to organise trade fairs in Indore, Gwalior, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Khajuraho, according to a government press release.

The minister held a meeting with the representatives at Madhya Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday. She invited trade fair organisers to hold exhibitions, meetings and conventions in Madhya Pradesh.

Chairman of Apparel Export Promotion Council and Secretary General proposed to open a branch of Apparel Management Institute, Gurgaon in Madhya Pradesh. He also proposed to open Apparel Training and Design Centre in the state. The CII representative assured the minister to hold an auto expo in MP soon.

General Manager of India Trade Promotion organisation said that organisers have to move to other places also due to lack of space at Pragati Maidan. SK Gupta, executive director of Carpet Export Promotion Council of India, chairman of Apparel Promotion Council Jirendra Uppal, joint director of FICCI Samrat Su, ASSOCHAM’s director  Ravi Vig, JWT India’s director Amit Goswani, ITPO’s senior general manager Dalel Singh, Export Promotion Council’s executive director Rakesh Kumar, Camrock Design’s director Ashwin Kumar, UBM India’s head corporate affairs Sanjay Bose, CEO of Sicons Global Roop Dayani and representatives of several other institutions participated in the meeting.
