Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured the dalit girl for the job.

While munching on ‘methi ki sabji and puri’ at Puja’s house on his maiden visit to Indore on Monday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan promised her a job and asked her to visit collectorate with her educational certificates.

On Tuesday, she visited Collectorate with all her credentials, and above all, the recommendation from the CM himself. “When I met the personal assistant of the collector at his office, he skimmed through my documents and said that they can position me in a private job,” said Puja.

“I already work in a private firm, I was expecting a government job from them,” she said. Puja Kunhare completed B.Com Computers from Radiant Institute of Management in the year 2012.

Her mother, Malati works at Commerce House for living and takes care of her four children. She told dna that on Tuesday morning, Mahendra Hardia visited her house and said that she will definitely get a job.

“Joshiji was offering me a job in a private company with Rs 4,000 - Rs 5,000 salary, I don’t want to do a job in private sector,” she asserted.

She could not meet the district collector Akash Tripathi on Tuesday and has been asked to come again on Monday to meet him.

“I would go and meet collector, but I don’t think they would pay heed,” Puja said.

After the death of Puja’s father, her mother carried out the responsibility of feeding the four siblings. Pooja has two younger sisters who have passed class 10 and have stopped studying and one brother who is class 8 dropout.

“If not a government job, I am planning to do LLb, so that I can work at a respectable position,” Puja said.
